Wendy Castillo

Deputy National Campaign Manager

Wendy Castillo, has traveled the length and breadth of Belize campaigning for the People’s United Party (PUP). She epitomizes integrity, energy, hard work and passion. She is a warrior for positive change and is a reflection of what we in the PUP refers to as “True Blue”. Having a team player mentality, the Party is confident that her ‘get-it-done’ spirit will be critical in securing victory for the PUP in the next General Elections.

Wendy is self-motivated, focus and has huge ideas. Her fearless spirit and bluntness in stating what she believes in, makes her an outstanding individual and is often seen as a champion for the voiceless. Because of these qualities, accompanied by hard work and dedication, the Party Leader Hon. John Briceno asked her to serve on the National Executive as one of four Deputy National Campaign Managers; the only woman among the four members. She previously served on the National Executive from 2012 to 2014 as the President of the United Women’s Group.

Wendy has been engaged in the peaceful constructive revolution of the People’s United Party (PUP) for almost 20 years. Her love for and dedication to the PUP came from her parents’ loyalty to the Party as well as the opportunities the Party while in government, provided for her in the area of educational opportunities in particular as a scholarship recipient. Wendy graduated as a Licensed Medical Technician from the University of Belize and later obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the same University with a minor in Education.

In 2015, she made history at the Annual General Meeting of Holy Redeemer Credit Union, when she became one of only two elected Directors to serve on the Board of Directors of the Credit Union. She is the youngest person to ever hold such a position.

Wendy is the Owner/Director of her own business, Azrak Services. As an entrepreneur, she is equipped with a wealth of knowledge in Belize’s Real Estate Industry. As a Real Estate and Marketing Consultant, she enjoys the opportunity of meeting people both locally and internationally. She is also a family woman with deep devotion firstly to God, her husband and their two children.

Apart from being a business woman, Wendy’s purpose and passion lies in helping the poor and disadvantaged with the hope to create new opportunities to help them uplift their social and economic status. It’s this dedication and love for community work that makes her a mentor and an influential person in her community. She believes in empowering people to stand in their own light so that together, they can make a resounding impact. Wendy is always involved in community initiatives be it education, religion, culture or sports. In essence, her relentless spirit for community work and her love of people is dedicated to building a Belize that works for everyone!
